This campaign is an annual project of Maccabi GB, supported by the Genesis Philanthropy Group. Lighting a yellow candle on Yom Hashoah (or Holocaust Remembrance Day) is a way of commemorating the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust. This animation was created to show the reach of this campaign every year – which in the previous year had caused #yellowcandle to trend number 1 on Twitter. Animated in AfterEffects.
