The Emergency Housing Department
‘The Emergency Housing Department’ are a government body which look at repurposing public space to maximise space efficiency. The location that is the focus of this video is Dame Emily Park in Bedminster. The aim of this public service announcement was to discuss how our public spaces may have to be repurposed in the future to generate more housing for the community. The video considers a contemporary issue through a location and fictional narrative.
In response to ‘The Promise’ Exhibition at the Arnolfini gallery in Bristol, under the title ‘Designing a New Reality’, we collaboratively created this video to highlight the potential future social issue of overpopulation.
